Color Choices of Vinyl Replacement Windows

There are several different colors of vinyl windows depending on the manufacturer. The most common color of a vinyl replacement window is of course is not really a color rather it is white. But even this selection varies. Some makers of windows produce an off white similar to a cream versus a painters stark white. Many homeowners prefer this option as it is a little softer on the eyes.

The nest color in popularity order is beige. Most of the time this color is available inside and outside a s beige. There are some manufacturers that will make a two tone color, for example white inside and beige outside.

The next most popular color of vinyl windows is brown exterior. This is usually only available with a white interior. This is primarily due to the fading issues due to the sunlight. . There are companies that produce an interior brown as well but they are rare. In fact many firms have disclaimers for the brown color and limited warranties due to the fading and bowing potential .

Another increasingly popular choice are wood grain colors which are now available in the vinyl replacement window lines. These are usually laminated on the inside with stains such as light oak, dark oak and cherry depending on the manufacturer. These are for homeowners with lots of paneling and or wood flooring throughout their home. Also some homeowners just want a different and more rich appeal to their interior so windows. There are also pintable and stainable laminate which are available in oak or pine. These laminate amazingly resemble that of the real wood products and they stain very easily.

Finally the custom painting is available on the exteriors of vinyl replacement windows. This also varies by the manufacturer many of whom do not enter this arena. The ones who do paint the exterior have limits of selection usually around 10 extra colors. They are usually the more popular cladding colors that the wood clad companies such as as Anderson and Pella use such as greenstone,, green and clay.
